More toxic insecticides are used on cotton than any other crop, therefore your skin can't absorb any toxic pesticides when you wear organic cotton clothing. Also, the process of growing and harvesting one pound of cotton fibre needed to make a T-shirt takes an enormous toll on the water, air and the people harvesting and manufacturing these products. Aside from these issues, the quality and softness of organic cotton is fantastic so why wouldn't we want to use it?
